It's time to dance Catalá – a pre-Hispanic dance represents Quetzalcoatl, who has either on his shoulders or back and waist, the head of a plumed serpent. He holds a machete to fight the Jaguars. It is a struggle between heaven and the underworld. The music for this dance is interpreted as part of an old ritual that invokes the gods and the rain.
