Name: Aguascalientes means “Hot waters” or “Hot Springs” in Spanish. The original name was “Villa de Nuestra Señora de la Asunción de las Aguas Calientes”.

Location: The city is located in north central Mexico.

Weather: Aguascalientes has an semi-arid climate, Temperate during the winter and hot/warm in the summer with rain between June and September.

Aguascalientes is almost equidistant between Zacatecas and Leon on Highway 45 and 45D. From San Luis Potosi drive west on Highway 70.
