Arco Norte

Arco Norte

The Arco Norte is a God-send.

If you are traveling by car you now have an opportunity to bypass Mexico City. The Arco Norte will take you from Queretaro to Puebla in an afternoon. It is not cheap (at last look in march of 2012 it was 353 pesos for the trip) but it is worth the price because you miss the congested polluted streets of Mexico City.

From Atlacomulco

  1. Highway 57 to Queretao (This leads to San Miguel de Allende, San Luis Potosi, Monterrey)
  2. Tula Norte
  3. Tula
  4. Atitalaquia
  5. Tizayuca
  6. Nopaltepec (This will take you to the ruins at Teotihuacan)
  7. Tepeapulco
  8. Calpulalpan
  9. Sanctórum
  10. San Martín Texmelucan de Labastid
  11. Highway 150 to Puebla and Mexico City

Unlike most tolls you take a ticket from a machine when you enter the Arco. You pay when you leave the highway.

If you want to catch the pyramids there is an exit that allows you to access Teotihuacan without any problems.
