Hi
Dorothy,
First I want to say thank you for putting my Chiropractic services in your newsletter. There is a typographical error, in that you wrote Pipl.Ac which should read Dipl.Ac which stands for Diplomate in Acupuncture. I Don't actually mind being a Piplomate, It could be much more fun. Saludos, Victor (Editors Note: The staff were into the Yoga again.....Problema corrected)
Hi folks.
Both of us look forward to your news of the area and look forward to our own arrival about Jan 3rd..I look at our weather outside at the moment in Nanaimo on Vancouver Island and wonder what in the world are we doing here given that today the 26th of Nov we have 8 inches of snow on the lawn and still coming down. However family commitments like grand children and xmas have strong ties.. so we will for the next month look with at the weather reports in your area...Holiday greetings to all

Hi,
Thanks for including us in the Jaltemba Express newsletters. I think it is a lot of work. I Loved the photo of Marian Schrier, It was all her!
Rick Harris Hello, We will be staying in PVR part of our vacation and in San Pancho for the rest of the time. We are looking for two things: 1) a reasonably priced rental car service, it doesn't have to be based at the PVR airport. 2) liability insurance for a rental car. I've been to ProMex but they need to know what kind of car you have before they give you a quote. We won't know that until we rent one. 3) We found an outfit in Buscerias called Gecko Rental, but they are all sold out. Any ideas? Betty
Hi there guys,
Great job !!! Everyone I know are loving your newsletter. Keep up the good work.

Hi,
Weather
5-Day Forecast
Mr Tarantula
Mr. Tarantula and his family live close by and you probably don't even know it. Sure to get a reaction every time he enters room, Mr T is hairy and black, has eight eyes and fangs. Unlike others spiders, he does not spin a web. North American tarantulas are exclusively ground-dwellers and live in burrows or silken retreats on trees, the walls of buildings, in plants such as bananas and pineapples or cliff faces.
Mr. T can inflict a painful bite when threatened but is very unlikely to do so. His venom is considered non-toxic to humans although there is likely to be a rash caused by the hairs. Clean the bite with soap and water and apply anti-infection topical cream. Remove hairs with tape.
Please remember we are in the Tropics. Be careful.
(MR T was Caught by Horst)
Humor Two guys are bungee-jumping one day. The first guy says to the second. "You know, we could make a lot of money running our own bungee-jumping service in Mexico." The second guy thinks this is a great idea, so the two pool their money and buy everything they'll need - a tower, an elastic cord, insurance, etc. They travel to Mexico and begin to set up on the square. As they are constructing the tower, a crowd begins to assemble. Slowly, more and more people gather to watch them at work. The first guy jumps. He bounces at the end of the cord, but when he comes back up, the second guy notices that he has a few cuts and scratches. Unfortunately, the second guy isn't able catch him, he falls again, bounces and comes back up again. This time, he is bruised and bleeding. Again, the second guy misses him. The first guy falls again and bounces back up. This time, he comes back pretty messed up - he's got a couple of broken bones and is almost unconscious. Luckily, the second guy finally catches him this time and says, "What happened? Was the cord too long?" The first guy says, "No, the cord was fine, but what the heck is a 'pinata'?"

Ms Maneras
Dear Ms Maneras,
I went to a restaurant the other day and listened to a very nice musical group. They played well and later a small Mexican boy came around and passed the hat for the musicians. I noticed that some of the patrons did NOT contribute. What gives.
Paul with a bad haircut
Dear Paul,
Ms Maneras recognizes you now.....
The custom in Mexico is that if a musician or group of musicians play at a restaurant for a set or so, that patrons will contribute in the form a tip. It is either collected via a hat or tin can or it is given by the patron into a glass usually near the stage. The tip is dependant on how much you enjoyed the music and if you feel it contributed to the atmosphere. Usually musicians do not get a salary but live off the tips.
If people do not like the music they are under no obligation to tip. If they have been there all afternoon or evening and participating, ie. dancing, then they should contribute.
On the other hand, if traveling musicians play a song or two in a restaurant for a specific patron, one is not expected to additionally pay for that song. Many do because they enjoy it. Generally traveling musicians ask if patrons want a song before asking for money.
If your fellow patrons did not tip, they probably didn't enjoy the music or they are cheapskates. No tips will soon mean no music in the future.
Ms Maneras
Ms M
Dear Ms Maneras,
There is a very nice Mexican lady at a local restaurant that I wish to date. I know she is recently separated so I want to know if it is proper to ask her out before the divorce is final. Is it a problem? She is absolutely the most wonderful woman I have ever met. I feel smitten every time she smiles.
Ted from Tucson
Dear Ted,
Ms Maneras thinks you should be subtle in your approach. Tell her "we should go out for dinner sometime," and test her response. If she is enthusiastic rather than just being polite, then ask regarding a specific evening.
Ms Maneras
Ms M
Dear Ms Maneras,
I am a single woman and enjoy it. I have plenty of friends and I am not looking for a husband or even a loving relationship at this stage in my life.
My friends, however, want to match me up and invite single men over for dinner or drinks. I tell them I am happy being alone but they ignore my requests and continue to invite single guys with the obvious notion that I am going to fall madly in love with him.
How do I get it through their brains that I am happy with just me and my dogs.
Brandy
Dear Brandy,
Ms Maneras believes that your friends have the best intentions in mind. They want to see you as happy (or as miserable) as they are.
If you find yourself in the same situation again, she kindly suggests you demonstrate some of your yoga positions to the guests. (see yesterdays Jaltemba Express) This will ensure the hosts will never invite you again.

Riding Tours of the Area
![]() Want to explore the back hills by horseback? Then these are the tours for you. The tours are scheduled on Fridays beginning on November 24 or can be arranged privately for a group.
Everyone meets at
the crucero of the
200 and Ursulo
Galvan. we then
take a drive through
the farming country
to the Rancho
Guadalupe for a
wonderful breakfast
of Mexican tacos.
Make your own fresh
tortillas if you
want. We then meet
our horse friends
for the day and
begin the trip.
We have designed both easy and semi difficult trips depending on people's desires. The easier trips are a combination of farmlands, riverbeds and roads, lots of scenery and plant and animal life. These trips are from 2 to 3 hours long. The more difficult trip consists of roads, farmlands, and trails which lead up and over a ridge and down to the river and waterfalls and pools. Somewhat arduous in places but if a person is somewhat familiar with horses, it shouldn't be a problem. It is lengthy however lasting about 2 and a half hours one way to the cascadas and 2 hours for return. Upon return we are greeted by a traditional Mexican lunch. Beer and frescas are available for purchase. The cost of the trips are 300 pesos for the shorter trips and 400 pesos for the long trip. People should wear long pants and socks. Bring sun block and bug dope, any kind of snacks for the trail, water, camera and binocs. Organize your own group at least 2 days in advance - Minimum of 4 people and a Maximum of 8.
