We have a small casita in the rear of our property that we would like to rent out by the week......How do we put an ad into your paper?
Bill and Jan
(Editors Note: You write an ad like it was a newspaper - 4-5 lines. Take a picture. Let me know where it is so we can draw a map....And submit. It's free - although if we meet - you buy the beer. Ha-ha. D)
Hi Dorothy and Bill and everyone else lucky to be in paradise,
December 1 and we are counting down to departure date now. Thanks so much for keeping us updated on the happenings in and around La Penita. Hello to Fran, who looks as beautiful as ever in her picture with Danny and Nancy.

Taco Vicky
Some say that the tacos that you buy from Taco Stands in and around Jaltemba Bay are some of the finest in all of Mexico. Lorena of Taco Vicky serves up some great eats. Taco Vicky's is just of the Avenida one block in from the highway on the left hand side.

I didn't know what to do so I kept walking. My eyes only diverted for a moment or two. It's not that I mind....it's just that they started yelling obscenities at me and giving me cat calls. Whatz a guy to do in a situation like that.PeteDear Pete,Ms Maneras thinks you blew it. FOR PETE'S Sake.......When a bunch of women are giving you cat calls naked in a pool at midnight....well dear Pete. Lets not kid ourselves. Your eyes diverted for more than a moment or two. You were standing there for at least 3 minutes. Why you didn't even say as much as hello. Obscenities? No my dear. The women in question were merely chatting.....Next time? Well if there is a next time.....Double dare ya.Ms ManerasMs MDear Ms Maneras,Can you please re-play the Tequila Commercial for me. PREGNANT TURKEY STORY Submitted by Lorraine Timmen Last year at Christmas time, my mom went to my sister's house for the traditional holiday feast. Knowing how gullible my sister is, my mom decided to play a trick; She told my sister that she needed something from the store and asked if my sister wouldn't mind going out to get it. When my sister left the house, my mom took the turkey out of the oven, removed the mixed stuffing, stuffed a Cornish hen, and inserted it into the turkey... then re-stuffed the turkey; She then placed the bird(s) back into the oven. When it was time for dinner, my sister pulled the turkey out of the oven and proceeded to remove the stuffing. When her serving spoon hit something, she reached in and pulled out the little bird. With a look of total shock on her face, my mother exclaimed, "Barbara, you've cooked a pregnant bird!" At the reality of this horrifying news, my sister started to cry hysterically. It took the entire family almost two hours to convince her that turkeys lay eggs! Yes, my sister is a BLONDE

the Pemex in Lo
de Marcos. we then
take a drive through
the farming country
to the Rancho
Guadalupe for a
wonderful breakfast
of Mexican tacos.
Make your own fresh
tortillas if you
want. We then meet
our horse friends
for the day and
begin the trip.
We have designed both easy and semi difficult trips depending on people's desires. The easier trips are a combination of farmlands, riverbeds and roads, lots of scenery and plant and animal life. These trips are from 2 to 3 hours long. The more difficult trip consists of roads, farmlands, and trails which lead up and over a ridge and down to the river and waterfalls and pools. Somewhat arduous in places but if a person is somewhat familiar with horses, it shouldn't be a problem. It is lengthy however lasting about 2 and a half hours one way to the cascadas and 2 hours for return. Upon return we are greeted by a traditional Mexican lunch. Beer and frescas are available for purchase. The cost of the trips are 300 pesos for the shorter trips and 400 pesos for the long trip. People should wear long pants and socks. Bring sun block and bug dope, any kind of snacks for the trail, water, camera and binocs. Organize your own group at least 2 days in advance - Minimum of 4 people and a Maximum of 8.
