Ms Maneras
Polite Living in Paradise
Dear MS Maneras,
I thought I would write and wish you a very Happy New Years.
I would also like to tell you that I have played golf with the women on Wednesdays and have found them great company and very funny. When are you going to come out and play?
Cathy
Dear Cathy,
Ms Maneras plays very little golf and of course is reluctant to make public appearances. She will however, consider going to the area Championship Tournament for Cancer Research if the management at the Jaltemba Express coughs up expenses and a big donation.
Ms M
Dear Ms Maneras,
I know this is a small town but honestly I sometimes shake my head at some of the small minds.
I have a friend I go for coffee with regularly who feels it is his right in life to butt into everyone's life. I will start talking about an individual and he will ask "Does he have his FM3?" or "Is he legal". He seems to have a bone to chew and I am getting very tired with his comments and concerns.
I am getting very frustrated with this as it is quite frankly NOT HIS BUSINESS. I would never ask anyone if they were legal or not, never mind commenting on their immigration status!
It is to the point now where I don't like mentioning anyone's names because I fear Mr Busy-body will report them or start sending out vicious rumors. What can I do?
Jenny from Chacala
Dear Jenny from Chacala,
Ms Maneras will never be out of a job because such THERE WILL ALWAYS BE BOTTOM FEEDERS in the world.
You know the answer already. Ignore Mr Busybody. He is too negative and will suck your energy dry.
Make a New Years Resolution for 2007 to have positive people around you. Life is very short, so have a good time, drink plenty of Tequila and laugh everyday.
Ms M
Dear Ms Maneras,
I have a favorite place on the beach but the owner is so rude I can't take it any more. He was looking down my dress the last time I went there. He thought he was being funny. I would avoid the place but my husband and fishing buddies love to go there. What can I do.
Candy from Calgary
Dear Candy,
Ms Maneras can think of other places along the beach that are perfectly wonderful for an afternoon lunch and cervesa and would like you to suggest that you try those.
However if your husband and fishing friends insist on going to that particular restaurant.....Ms Maneras suggests you wear a turtleneck and pants as he is known to look up women's skirts too. (The old....I dropped the fork routine)
