Information about Los Cabos, Mexico

Los Cabos Mexico hotels Los Cabos is located right on the edge of the long Baja California Peninsula, before a wonderful sea without limits where the Gulf of California mixes with the great Pacific Ocean. Miles of breathtaking beaches line the refreshing resort towns of Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo.

Los Cabos is the Marlin capital of the world and boasts Mexico's best golf with four world-class 18 hole courses. All this, plus an exciting nightlife combine to make "Cabo" the perfect vacation spot for every sun and sport enthusiast.
Cabo San Lucas, known as Land's End, Referred to as Cabo by the locals, was made famous for it's world class big game sportfishing, but has grown to become much more than a fishing village, with many popular night clubs, restaurants, land activities, diving, and of course the famous arches beyond Lover's Beach.

Los Cabos offers first-rate tourist service, including top quality hotels and condominiums, superb golf courses, marinas and restaurants. Wonderful facilities are available for fishing, swimming and sailing. Playa Chileno is ideal for diving, while the area between Cabo San Lucas and Cabo Pulmo is perfect for surfing.

As for food is concerned, the Los Cabos Tourist Corridor offers everything from simple to gourmet food as well as a wide range of seafood.

On March 19, the feast of San José is celebrated in San José del Cabo with several dances and an enormous fair is organized, where visitors can admire popular handicrafts from the peninsula’s main sites.

Los Cabos is considered the world capital of marlin fishing. This sport can be practiced all year round, and boats of different sizes are available to take you to such places out at sea as El Chileno and Olamilla. These boats can be rented at several different places in the area. These two spots are particularly rich in marine fauna and offer great fishing possibilities.

Los Cabos golf
In just a few years, Los Cabos has become a major golf destination in Latin America. Los Cabos hosts the PGA Senior Slam and has earned its place in the international golf community. Its 207 holes designed by personalities such as Jack Nicklaus, Roy Dye and Robert Trent II, the sea horizon and the desert landscape make this destination unique.

Visiting the church of the San José Mission founded in 1730, are just one of the activities available in the city.

Los Cabos boasts a variety of nightlife, particularly in La Concepción, north of the Marina. Popular venues include Squid Roe, a dance club, and Kokomo’s, a contemporary music bar on the Boulevard Marina.

Cabo San Lucas Marina has 288 berths for sailing enthusiasts. Sailboat trips are available to the famous natural stone arch separating the Gulf of California or Sea of Cortés from the Pacific Ocean.

Los Cabos snorkeling & scuba diving

Diving enthusiasts continue to be fascinated by the mysterious cascades of sand that pour endlessly into the bottom of the sea, the beautiful black coral gardens and the rich marine fauna of the region.

Los Cabos spas
Those in search of massages and spas should head for the Hotel Casa del Mar, at Km 19.5 of Federal Highway No. 1, near San José del Cabo.

Los Cabos water sports
Los Cabos’ main attraction is its natural surroundings, resulting from the warm Sea of Cortés meeting the colder Pacific Ocean. Its beaches offer incredible landscapes as well as facilities for all kinds of water sports. Some of the best include Playa Azul, excellent for surfing, El Chileno, Palmilla, El Médano, Cabo Real and Playa del Amor. It is also internationally renowned for its sports fishing.
