New RV Parks in Mexico 2008

Michoacan

Hi Bill and Dorothy!

We, Debbie and Arturo Barrera, Co-Founders of RV Tours Caravans Azteca and San Juan del Lago RV Resort and Campsites, want to tell you that your website is a blessing for all who want to visit Mexico in their RVs.  We would like to know how we can post our information on your site.  We also offer guide and support services for RV caravans through our RV tour company.

We would also like to give you a cordial invitation to come and visit us and get to know everything that this area has to offer.  Once you are here, we will look after you and show you around.  We will introduce you to our brand new RV Destination (with 240 sites) in the heart of Mexico.

Lake Cuitzeo, in the state of Michoacán, offers beautiful nature sights, a spectacular collection of flora and fauna and a slow pace to relax and unwind from all stress.  It has a perfect blend of weather, location, intimacy, tranquility and convenience.  In 2006, Cuitzeo was designated a “Magical Town (Pueblo Mágico)”, which means it offers visitors a “magical” experience, by reason of their natural beauty, cultural riches and historical relevance.

Located only 15 minutes away is Morelia, the state capital of Michoacán, which offers full amenities, shopping centers (Costco, Wal-Mart, Sam’s Club, etc.), movie theatres, and diverse restaurants that offer the best in national and international cuisine.  In addition, excellent, modern medical facilities are easily accessible.  Morelia’s amazing colonial architecture, vibrant historic downtown area (Centro Histórico) and one of the most striking relics – a mile-long limestone aqueduct, are enchanting.

Being in the center of the country will give you the opportunity to explore many tourist destinations located within a three-hour drive.

If you crave a change from the mainstream, commercialized tourist destinations and desire to explore the rich culture of Mexico, come and stay with us.  The only way to know the country is to take your time and slowly savor every moment.

This area welcomes the opportunity to serve the RV market, and in particular, those seeking to escape the cold, harsh months of winter. Mexico is an exquisite architectural wonder, rich in history, art and culture.  It strikes the perfect balance between culture, progress and nature and provides a beautiful and interesting tourist destination.  The mix of modern and traditional, clichéd and surreal, is the key to Mexico’s charm.

Come visit us and stay a while…

 Debbie and Arturo Barrera

New RV Park in Jalisco Mexico

Hello!  What a great helpful website you have.  It should promote lots of campers to visit Mexico.  My husband and I are also building a new campground in the town of Valle de Juarez, Jalisco near the alpine town of Mazamitla.  We are located about 2 hours southeast of Guadalajara, at the foot of the Sierra del Tigre mountains.  We will open Nov. 1, 2007, with very reasonable rates.  We are starting off small, with 7 full hook up pull thru sites, approximately 50x80 feet, and have 8 more acres to expand. We have new bathrooms with hot water, and a new wash machine for laundry convenience.  The winter weather is wonderful, not too hot or too cold.  We will roto till garden plots for interested gardners, and offer the use of our 8" Celestron telescope for gazing at the star studded night skies. Please let me know how we can get a spot on your information site.  My name is Barb Contreras, and my husband is Sal.  You can reach us by email at: barb@haciendacontreras.com or haciendacontreras@yahoo.com  or our phone number here in Mexico is (from the US) 011-52-382-571-1165 and the cells are either 011521-382-100-2275 or 011521-333-8130, and from Mexico: 01-382-571-1165, 045-382-100-2275 and 045-333-130-8130.  Thank you and hope to hear from you soon.  Barbara Contreras

More Interior Road Logs and Driving Guides

"This is the second year we have used Bill and Dots 'ontheroadin" Mexican logs for travel on the coast and interior of Mexico. They are easy to use, save a lot of indecision and more than a lot of arguments as to where one should turn or where there is a Pemex large enough for a large rig with a tow. We appreciate all the work they have done to make traveling in Mexico a great and easy adventure."
