Jaltemba Bay Animal Rescue

The total expenses of our clinic were $1,758.07 leaving us with a balance of $1,587.17 to fund future clinics and work with street animals. We will need to raise more funds if we wish to have clinics in the New Year.

The cost per animal for spaying and neutering for the La Peñita clinic was $12.13 and $11.72 if we include consultations! Thanks to all of you who donated in any way…It is because of you that we are able to provide this service at such a nominal fee.

If anyone here would like to help us with street animals which may involve doing runs to Puerto Vallarta, Lo de Marcos or Bucerias to obtain health certificates, dog/cat food, help with adoptions or vet visits that would be great. Right now it is just Jeanie, Celia, Lacy, and I who are involved in year long animal rescue. We could use some help!

Fliers are available both Spanish and English on our website. If any of you are here and would print the Spanish flier to hand out in Jaltemba Bay, that would help promote our clinics. Here is a copy of the English Flier…

Spay/Neuter Clinic for Dogs and Cats was a huge success!!!!!!! 145 Animals were spayed or neutered during the 3.5 day clinic! 92 dogs and 53 cats were sterilized preventing 6,164,000 dogs in 6 years and 22,260,000 cats in 7 years totaling 28,424,000 animals from being unwanted in Jaltemba Bay. Dog Stats

o The average number of litters a fertile dog can have a year: 2
o The average number of puppies: 8
o Thus, in 6 years, 1 dog and her offspring can produce 67,000 dogs
Cat Stats
o The average number of litters a fertile cat can have a year: 3
o The average number of kittens: 5
o Thus, in 7 years, 1 cat and her offspring can produce 420,000 cats

Galería X altemba  Presents

“The Golden Aura”

Sculptures and Paintings

by

 David Delgadillo

Reception for the Artist

Friday December 7, 2007

7 - 9 pm

Cocktail in the Gallery and Upstairs Lounge

Performance by

Carla Viviana González Lara

Free

David Delgadillo is a restless artist who searches for the spiritual in the  secret areas of the human body, he paints lines and circles that form mandalas in golden surfaces. The body becomes the container for the universe. Galería Xaltemba is proud to present his work from December 7th to the 27th. Cocktail for the artist is Friday, December 7th from 7 to 9 pm. With a performance by Carla Viviana Gonzalez Lara.

Golden bodies, chakras, mysticism, energy, David’s work reminds us that the human body reflects and absorbs the cosmology of the universe. The body chakras rotate and pulsate as if they were planets in orbit and from inside the body they expose, open and close. The human body as a transitory vessel, it transforms and extinguishes itself like the stars in space.

The body has been painted gold for adoration, to always be alive, to become indestructible, to make it immortal so that it will be reborn. History is filled with sculptures of bodies golden and not, adorned and abhorred. David Delgadillo’s sculptures are golden, like Buddha's in the Katmandu mountains of Nepal, the chakras are Tibetan mandalas, points of mediation, and points of departure

An aura is something that can’t be easily seen, to see an aura you need to be gifted with extraordinary powers or need to use technologically advanced photography. The aura is an invisible space of luminous radiation. The colors of the aura define the energy and the physical state of the human body. It is said that the aura is a representation of the vibrations of the soul, and harmonious attributes to  reflect on the moods or thoughts of the person, their true internal state of being. Just like the phenomenon of the paranormal, the existence of the aura is controversial. David Delgadillo gives his sculptures energy and they vibrate to become eternal beings.

Property Management- Home Alone

“I came back after 4 months and the grass and jungle around my home took over the patio area. It was obvious that the firm we hired as property managers had never visited our place never mind managed it! They refused to give us back our money and took off.

I’ve had my fill of fly-by night operators”

Home Owner in Lo de Marcos

One of the single most important decisions a home owner can make is what to do when their house remains vacant. Some opt for house-sitters. Others rely on a few local full-time friends to pay the bills and ensure their property is safe. Neither is a perfect solution.

The other option, hiring a property management firm, can also be fraught with expectations and disappointment. One of the most reliable firms in the area, Jaltemba Bay Rentals is unfortunately no longer providing this service. (Lenor Coomber is concentrating full-time on booking accommodation at various hotels and private residents on the coast.)

A new option is now available to the Jaltemba Coast communities. Cesar and Anna Ibarra, owners of Posada Flores in Los Ayala, now offer property management services to the community.

Anna and Ceasar Ibarra

Riviera Nayarit Property Management Services offers an array of services and will custom build a homeowner package to suit your needs.

“We started 4 years ago offering services to friends and acquaintances that needed a full-time presence for their homes or businesses and the requests increased” says Anna. “The demand for reliable service providers with deep roots in the community is growing. We know the best service providers that are available because we have needed them for our own hotel and properties. You never know as an absent home owner, if you are going to need a plumber, electrician or part-time gardener.”

Anna and Ceasar are bi-lingual and can assist on other important matters as they arise.  Supervision of repairs and maintenance, interpreting for legal or insurance assistance are only a few of the services they provide.

Posada Flores

The Ibbaras manage condos, commercial and houses and will work with you to custom design a package that suits your needs. “We have recently signed a 10 year deal with a condominium,” says Ibarra. “That shows confidence that our services will remain superior and are here for the long term. People love us because they know this is our community and we’re reliable, honest and hard working.”
