Early Group will have no access to the Internet from 9:00 to 11:00 am and from 7:00 to 9:00 PM
Late Group will have no access to the Internet from 7:00 to 9:00 am and from 5:00 to 7:00 PM
Everyone will have access at all other times.

To All Users of La Penita Wifi We are constantly trying to improve the wifi system in the park. We need your help to make it run smoothly. Murray now has the server up and the early/late groups going. It is working quite well. There are some problems but with your help they can be addressed. The most important thing is that everyone must turn their wifi off when they are not on line. This means you must either turn your wireless off with a switch on your computer or disable the wireless or turn off your computer. (To disable the wireless, right click the little "tv" screen at the bottom right of your task bar, choose "disable". To enable it again, click "Start, Connect To, Wireless Network Connection") If you don't do this you are still on line and taking up a radio connection to the router. If you are working on your cmputer but not working on line then you need to disable the wifi. Some people are not doing this. If your wifi is not turned off warnings will be issued. If the warnings are not heeded you will be suspended and will have to apply to be turned back on. We do not want to do this but there are too many computers on this system to give everyone open access. It will not work for anyone. Mac addresses have to be turned into the office on the appropriate form. If you do not do this your mac address will show up on the server and we will not have a name beside it and you may be cut off until you identify yourself Please make sure you fill out the form correctly and include your email address. If you have questions or problems please fill out a trouble report in the office. Do not contact Murray directly. Please remember that there is a phone at the office that is free for calls to the US and Canada. This is available anytime, whether you are an early or late user. Please limit your calls to 10 minutes, less if there are people waiting. Please, please, if you are leaving a message tell people NOT to call back. The phone also rings at Carole and Grants' and we do not appreciate the call backs. Of course emergencies don't count. Thank you and please help us make this system the best it can be. LADIES GOLF - is Wednesdays, 200 pesos, includes golf and lunch. Meet at the office 9:30am for a 9:45 SHARP departure.
WATER EXERCISE **NEW** Tuesdays and Thursdays at 1pm.
MANICURE/PEDICURE - Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, 9am at the Palapa.
WASHER TOSS - **NEW** Sunday, December 2nd, 3:30pm at the Pool. 5P entry fee. First place team members will each receive a burger night entree and two drinks. Second place team members will each receive a burger night entree. Sign-up sheet on the bulliten board.
EUCHRE is Monday nights - 7pm Sharp, in the Clubhouse. 1st come 1st served - more info? Jack & Karel site #18 by the office.
POKER - At the Clubhouse - Wednesday nights, 7:30pm. ALSO - HOLDEM TOURNAMENTS on demand, usually on Saturday night. Watch the Bulletin Board for more information!
BRIDGE - **NEW** Mondays and Fridays, 12:45 at the Clubhouse.
THE CAFE BY THE POOL - is open every morning except Thursdays. You can also order pizza for dinner from Rueben at the cafe or by phone. 274-1819

Faye will be running a 50/50 draw and selling T-shirts and flag badges at various functions. Proceeds to go directly to someone in need.
Last year, proceeds from the lighted badge sale went to help a woman with cervical cancer. She had no medical coverage and could not afford the chemo, which cost $10,000 pesos per treatment. We gave her $5000 pesos, and she had fund-raising dinners in Los Ayala and managed to make the rest needed for her 1st treatment. After that, the family was able to get some funding. She is well and living in Los Ayala with her family. It is gratifying to know we were able to help.
Hello everyone;
We have been camped here at the RV park for a month and the time has come for Deb and I to say good-bye to continue our Mexico adventure. Our thanks to everyone for making us feel welcome in this special place. To the volleyball gang keep up the fun and welcoming attitute inviting anyone to play. Jim, Debbie, Jack, Nancy, Ken and Debbie bon appetito. To the Karaoke bunch - you never hit a sour note if you sing with heart. Mike (and Susan) thanks for the fishing trip, no skunks or pineapples for the rest of the season. All the volunteers - and you know who you are - you are appreciated by us and by all. Thanks to all our neighbours but especially Jim who I chatted with often and Marion who befriended Deb. Carol, the staff was great with special kudos to Antonio and Ana-Karen who countered our poor spanish with helpful assistance and grace. We just wanted to say goodbye to all of our new friends in the park, or purhaps we should say hasta luego.

Season’s Greetings to all our friends and acquaintances, past and present, from not-so-sunny Sooke. As most of you know by now we are spending the winter months at home in order for Judy to complete her chemo/radiation to combat her breast cancer, diagnosed after our return from our 5-month Mexican holiday earlier this year. The trip was accomplished in our R/V, we’ve seen many sights and enjoyed many adventures along the way with many of you. We will be enjoying Xmas with our whole family and friends for the first time in many years, with of course, a Mexican theme. Our kids are all busy with their lives and have been very helpful and supportive with their Mom.
Next year’s plans are already underway and we have all intentions of spending the winter months in our little LaPenita haven in sunny Mexico. We hope you all have wonderful holiday season wherever you might be, our best wishes.
