Churches in Nayarit, Jalisco and Guanajuato

Perhaps it is my Catholic upbringing, or my love for architecture, that gave me my fascination for the churches in Mexico.  Big ones, small ones, small towns and State capitals like Guadalajara and Guanajuato.  

I headed out from La Penita on the Jaltemba Coast and headed to Guanajuato via the back roads through Compostella, Rio del Ixtlan, Magnalena, and into Guadalajara where I stayed the night at the Hotel Frances in Centro Historico.

The next  day it was on to Guanajuato again through back roads a Tequila country and small towns such as Totolan.  

These are a few of the many photographs I took of churches along the way.
