Copper Canyon Tour Day 1: Arrival at Los Mochis International Airport. You will be met in the air terminal. After a 1 hour ride you will arrive at El Fuerte`s newest hotel – La Choza. After a guided walking tour of downtown El Fuerte you will dine in La Choza`s restaurant – El Diligencia. Day 2: Your taxi will pick you up at 7:30am to take you to the train station. The train is air conditioned. It has a dinning car and a bar car. Get off the train at Posada Barracas. A person from the La Mansion Tarahumara will meet you and take you to the hotel (2 or3pm). In the afternoon there will be a tour of the local area: Divisidero and other places with good views of the canyon.

Inside of a room Day 3: Today it’s “off to Creel” for a 7 to 8 hour driving tour. Among the many places of interest are a Tarahumara cave dwelling, the strange rock formations in the valley of the mushrooms, and a mountain lake. You will return to La Mansion Tarahumara for the night. Day 4: After breakfast you can rest and relax and enjoy the lunch before you are driven to the train. (12 to 12:30p) Your taxi will be waiting for you at the El Fuerte station. After a 10 to15 minute ride you will arrive at the La Choza. (About 7pm) Day 5: After breakfast, you will be driven to see Lake Hidalgo (this is a good photo opportunity) or go on a river tour on “La Reina del Rio” and see the 2,500 year old petroglyphs and many birds. SEE: www.rvmex.com (Tours tab). Then, back to Los Mochis for your return flight. Whether you go to the lake or on the river tour depends on which one you want to select or your departure time from Los Mochis. # All meals in the hotels with soft drinks are included. Not included are tips, meals on the train, and alcoholic beverages. The price per person, double occupancy, is $695 US Dollars.
