Yikes...land dispute
in Michoacán forces RV Park owners to shut down
To all of our dear friends,
Sadly, we have some very bad news to share with
you. Within the past few months this area has
experienced a land dispute. The land that was in
question was very near to us and we were
concerned about opening this season due to the
safety of our guests. Recently, a threat has
been made that puts our land in dispute as well.
A lot is unclear at the moment. What is clear to
us is that this situation is not going to be
resolved anytime soon making it impossible for
us to open this season. We hope that in the
future we are able to open again and have you as
our guest. Until then, we hope you have a
wonderful winter season in beautiful Mexico.
Thanks.
Sandy & Cynthia

Located on a small hill overlooking the blue pacific and coco groves. Beautiful views. Peace and tranquility. Surrounding area: La Placita is a small pueblo with fruit and veggies stores, restaurants, mini-supers, hardwar e stores, clothing etc. Very friendly people who are happy to see you. The area is a agriculture and ranching community with cocos, tamarindo, mango, papayas, chiles, limes and all kinds of other produce in residence. The beaches are virgin and development has yet to come to this area. Miles of sandy white beaches and clear warm water. A perfect balance. Fishing and sightseeing charters are available.
Rancho Buganvilias is nicely situated on 8.5 acres on top of a hill overlooking the blue pacific with an outstanding white sand beach, tranquil coco groves and easy beach access just below. Sites on Hills 3 and 4 are 6 meters wide at the entrance and fan out to 7 meters. Hill 1 has sites that are 9 meters w ide, large enough for an extended patio and a nice garden as well as a view and almost always a nice breeze. The power is metered beginning the 08-09 season, insuring our rates to remain affordable. Bathrooms and a hot water shower are on site and laundry service is available. We have a small restaurant, "Don Guillermo's" which will be offering pizzas and salads as well as our very popular "dinner party style" dinners on Saturday nights. Deliveries to the park are propane gas for Class A vehicles, breads and pastries, ice, lobsters and seafood. Free Spanish classes are held every Saturday to help with your Mexican immersion.
We are located 3 hours south of Melaque/Barra de Navidad, 2 hours south of Manzanillo, 45 minutes from Tecoman, where there is a Bodega (Walmart) and Mercado Soriana. This is a good place to stock up on your supplies. These stores have a great selection of meats, cheeses and wines. And finally, just 5 minutes south of the small pueblo of La Placita, where you can get your basic groceries and visit local shops Directions: From the north take Route 200 south to KM 196 and make a right at the sign.
