This place is a cross between Rasta and Late - hippie. It attracts a very young crowd - the hammock and tie die t-shirt set. However the Maya Bell is closest to the amazing ruins and it does have the basics - clean showers and toilet areas. It is very tight for rigs over 24ft...but you can do it if the place is not too full.

The Maya Bell is so close to the ruins that it attracts most campers. You can walk the 1 kilometer up to the entrance.

The lush jungle also adds and somewhat makes up for the retro '60's crowd. One is never too sure if they are howler monkey sounds in the middle of the night.

Directions: On the road to the ruins. KM 5.5 on left. Well signed.
