This is a fantastic little lake area that makes a great stop for the day. You can swim in the lake or hike right underneath the tall falls.

As it has no hook-up facilities, we find it best to enjoy and move on. They have let people stay over night. For those that are self-contained and want or must stop for the nighttime.

No place for tents, but there are pleasant bungalows

Getting there

Directions: On Highway 199 from San Christobal to Palenque at KM 18.
